The Beach is Where I Belong

The Beach is Where I Belong
The Witch on the Beach

The Sea. Oh, my salty, cold, and wise blanket!

How much I needed your hug after a long winter.

The sun is shining on the beach.

The sun is shining within me.

I’m Back Again

This winter was longer than any other winter. However, I put aside my winter coat in April — not because of the weather. I did because I believe spring should start in April.

Not in Denmark, tho, not in Denmark.

I was standing my ground while my ass was frozen throughout April.

Worth it! I learned nothing.

But when May came, the sun stayed longer on the horizon. Finally, people in here could hang their coats and dust off their sunglasses.

Still windy, so an extra layer is always handy.

Opening Season

First beach day is a big thing in my book. This year was special.

My friend and I were celebrating with a morning mimosa — alcohol-free champagne — and chocolate. The water was cold, and I usually swim thirty minutes, but not today. Today, I could do a few minutes of swimming.

When a good amount of salt water hit my face, I felt the power of the sea.

The welcoming calmness ran through my spine, but I had no time to contemplate there.

It’s okay!

Sea you soon!
