Petit à Petit, L’oiseau Fait Son Nid — An Expression To Live By
“Petit à petit, l’oiseau fait son nid” is a French expression I found dumb scrolling on the internet, thanks for The Paris Lessons.
It means:
“Little by little, the bird makes its nest.”
It struck me because I just watched a magpie build a nest the other day. I was at work, looking out of the window, and saw the magpie with a twig in its beak while looking for a good place to start a nest. The bird flew away but later came back for more twigs.
I have wanted to build my own nest for so long, but how am I going to do that if I am stuck in here? I cannot fly away… Can I?
Big results come from small, consistent actions.
Day by day, little by little.
My nest will be ready, and my wings will grow within.
Have a lovely day, everyone!
Thanks for reading.
