Nature’s Daughter

Nature’s Daughter

What’s your state of mind? Are you feeling tired? Would you sleep more? Do you want to do less? Do you need hugs, cuddles, and soft sheets? Drinking tea or thinking in silence? You are not a weirdo, just one of Nature’s children.

It’s winter.

The bears are asleep. The hedgehogs are asleep. The bees, the bugs, the beetles, the bets, and the frogs are all asleep. They are all inactive, saving their energy during this dark period of time.

Hibernation means to pass the winter in Latin.

Could we also pass the winter by slowing down our rhythm of life?

I noticed this shift in my energy lately. In January, I took time for self-care, made tea every day, ate soups, and took strolls in nature.

The music, the lights, the clothes. I like things that are slow, warm, and soft.

Even more than before.

I feel calmness and oneness with nature.

All I did was let the chamomile tea scent the room. Lit a candle and watch it burn. Walk in the park and breathe in the cold weather while being grateful that my coat is warm enough. Chop the vegetables and invite friends over. Read a soothing book for kids. Let the smell of the wild berries tea send me to bed at eight o’clock.

Do you feel a shift in your mood during the winter?

Let me know in the comments.
